About Our Marathon

  • Let us run Breast Cancer out of town. Be a part of an excellent organized running event.
  • Every year the breast cancer survivors, patients, doctors, care givers and supporters are a major force behind organizing this event. They insist on calling it ‘Our Marathon’ and thus the name. This is the fourth edition.
  • We are glad that Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Nawaz Siddique, Sunil Shetty, Resul Pookutty and Swapnil Joshi are joining us for the cause.
  • Each participant Finishers get a beautiful medal and snacks at the finish. Female participants get free mammogram

Race Day Information

  • On Sunday you must reach the venue by 5:45 AM, road may be blocked and would be difficult to enter for latecomers.
  • Flag offs for Half Marathon will happen first, followed by the 10 Km and last flag off will be for 5Km & 3Km participants.
  • Event has lots of pre and post race entertainment and food stalls to buy variety of foods, please enjoy.
  • Baggage counter will not accepts bags with mobiles or valuables

Do’s

  • Your bib  (runner’s number) must be put on your chest on front of your t-shirt, and not on your back.
  • Wearing the bib is compulsory. Use all four pins.
  • Participate in the warm-up session before the race
  • Participate in the stretching and cool down session at the finish
  • Have a good night sleep on Friday and Saturday,
  • Make sure to eat a small fruit or a chapati or a slice of bread about 2 hours before the run and drink a big glass of water. Empty stomach may make you feel dizzy.
  • Use the toilet as soon as you reach the starting point
  • After the finish drink enough water so you have to use the bathroom at least once. You may not need to drink more than 1 liter per hour of running, even less for children.
  • If you have any health concern or recent ailment than particularly consult your doctor

Do’s

  • If someone asks for your help, stop your run and help first.
  • Before you leave make sure you are feeling absolutely fine.
  • If at any point you feel uncomfortable, reduce your speed and ask for help.
  • At the end of the race take time to relax and enjoy the remaining part of the event.
  • Listen to the volunteers along the route and follow the directions.
  • There will be traffic on the road, be careful.
  • Along the way you will get water, energy drink, banana, biscuits. Please pause your run and have them. Drinking water is very important.
  • There are photographers on the road so smile!!!
  • Make sure to thank the volunteers along the way they woke up before you so you can enjoy the run

Don’ts

  • Bib must be visible and not covered by jacket, etc.
  • do not stay up late.
  • If you are not well, DO NOT RUN
  • If you start feeling unwell when you run then STOP running and tell the people around you about the problem without hesitation..
  • At the start of the run, avoid running very fast, you should be able to talk with your run buddies around you.
  • When you finish, don’t stop immediately, keep walking slowly.
  • Do not throw the bottles and cups and litter on the road.
  • Don’t forget to have fun! Remember why you run in the first place. Show good sportsmanship and enjoy yourself.

Q. What is the last date for registration?

Registration for all categories will close on 15th January 2016 OR once all the slots have been filled, whichever is first.  No one  will be  permitted  to register  on the day  of the  race.  Entries that have not been received by the closing date will not be considered.

Q. Will I be permitted to transfer my registration to a friend?

We are sorry to say that no transfers will be permitted.

Q. Will I be able to register on the day of the event?

No registrations will be permitted on the day of the race.

Q. On what grounds can entry be declined?

There are a number of reasons that may result in your entry being declined.

  • A credit card transaction that is not accepted when registering online
  • More than once category option is selected on the entry form
  • An invalid check or demand draft is issued
